Today is the Small Packages Blogfest, for you bloggers out there like me who have less than 150 followers. Awesome idea courtesy of Jessica at Witless Exposition. If you want to sign up or just check out the other blogs, click here!
If your one of those young people that doesn't remember when TV was fun, what's your favorite scary TV show or movie?
As for scary t.v. shows, I believe a majority of my childhood was spent cowering in the corner while my brother giggled maniacally as we watched "Are you afraid of the dark?"
The answer to that question being a huge, resounding YES! I slept with a nightlight until I was ten....Okay, twelve. FINE, FOURTEEN!! Sue me, okay? I got over it. For the most part.
The episodes I remember most clearly (well, there are alot of them, actually) include the ones where 3 girls get lost in the woods at summer camp and meet 3 old women who have been lost for years. Another where a guy who stole treasure from a ship can't fall go to sleep or zombies will come after him. And one about a little girl stuck in a mirror who keeps writing help on the walls backward.

Oh man...I remember "Are you afraid of the dark?" That was a great show. The Goosebumps show they did never lived up to the standard set by that show.
This is a fun blogfest! And I LOVE Roseanne...that's what I wrote my entry on!
I LOVED Are You Afraid of the Dark, too. Like Halloween every Saturday night.
Obvs, as far as specials are concerned, there's It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! And the old Garfield movie with Lake Wobegon, Garfield in the Rough they always played at Halloween. That always creeped me out when I was a kid waaay more than the actual Halloween adventure movie.
South Park has some fun Halloween episodes, and I ADORE the Treehouse of Horror episodes of the Simpsons, especially the one with the evil Krusty doll. "Yup, here's your problem. Someone set this thing to Evil."
Love it! Fun post, I'll have to check out the others. Happy Halloween!
I always get way too excited when someone mentions "Are you afraid of the dark?". It was easily one of my favorite shows and along with Christopher Pike the whole reason I went on to want to be a horror/thriller author.
Thanks for taking part!
Ahhh..I'm so left out by the scary shows. I couldn't even watch The Twilight Zone without keeping a pillow infront of my face and feeling my blood pressure pound in my ears uncontrolably.
n fact, just the mention of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" brings back days of sleep overs and "convienently" finding a book to red in the other room. I am such a weenie...:(
Chiller Theater. That was one scary show.
